HOME AND BACK TO "REALITY" !

Well, I made it back safe & sound from my WONDERFUL trip to Utah & Women's Conference...it was an AMAZING 5 days & nights!! Jen & I took the train to Burbank airport, then took the tram from the train station to the airport. We flew up to Salt Lake in only 1 1/2 hours, with a tail wind pushing us quickly there. Lis picked us up (it was SOOO nice seeing her again!!), then she drove us to Salt Lake, where Jen went to the temple & Lis and I went to the mall & did some shopping & eating. It was VERY cold...and when we got back to temple square, it started to drizzle, then it hailed!! We took a tour of the tabernacle, the conference center, & both visitors centers, then Jen called & we met up & took some photos with the BEAUTIFUL flowers all over temple square, then it was off to Provo! We ate dinner then went to Baskin Robbins for their 31 cent scoop night...just when we got there, it started snowing really hard, all we could do was laugh as we waited in line for ice cream in the snow & wind! We stayed @ Jens' friends home in Orem, then went to Women's Conference on Thurs. & Sherri Dew was the opening speaker - she was FANTASTIC!! We enjoyed wonderful classes all day & ate lunch @ the Cougar Eat & bought some of the famous, DELICIOUS, BYU brownies!! We went to a FABULOUS concert Thurs. night in the Marriott Ctr. & then started all over again @ the Marriott Ctr. Fri. morning, with an awesome talk by Sis. Beck, the general Relief Society president & we got to work on one of the service projects & for our concluding speaker Fri. afternoon, we had the priviledge of hearing President Thomas S. Monson ---I testify that he is a prophet of God, he was so funny & spiritual too! I loved every second of Women's Conference & spending time with Lis & Jen was the best!! We got to visit with Jens' friend, Katie & her husband & brand new baby Fri. night - it was sooo fun seeing them & their brand new home, too! Sat. we got to drive back to Ogden & met Lis' boyfriend, Adam. He is VERY nice & we had fun hangin' out with him! Sat. night we checked into the "Red Moose Lodge" in Eden. It's about 15 mi. up Ogden cyn. & is in a beautiful valley surrounded by snow-covered mountains - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! Sun. we went to church with Lis & then hung out with her & Adam @ the Moose Lodge taking pictures, playing games & eating...then we headed back to Salt Lake & Lis dropped us off @ the airport. We flew home & Everton met us @ Burbank airport. We had the BEST time together!! One of the neatest things that happened during the weekend was that Lis decided to move back to Calif. & her boyfriend, Adam, decided to move to California---so they'll be here @ the end of the month - I can't wait!! Adam will be looking for a place to live, so let me know if you hear of anyone who has a room to rent! I've been back @ work since Mon. morning & today I did medical assisting all day---gave a few shots, checked in patients, phoned in prescriptions...back to reality!!
